DIGITAL PRESENTATIONS INFORMATION

Power point with USB will be sufficient. The slides should be uploaded at least one hour before  presentation. A specific site will be given in the meeting for this purpose. The format is free. Duration of the presentation: 10 minutes and 5 minutes for discussion.

The Venue

Barcelona World Trade Centre, a very attractive business park located in the old harbor, with very good communications (next to the historic and commercial centre of the city and just 15 minutes from the airport). WTC Barcelona was opened in July 1999 and was created by the renowned architect Henry N. Cobb. The building structure was inspired by the shape of a boat surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. There is ample information on the internet (WTC Barcelona is included in Wikipedia and there are several portal links).

Additional Miscellaneous Details:

• There will be a lunch service on Friday 24th at the Port Vell Room.
  
• There is Wifi at the WTC. It's cost is 6 € / day
  
• Certificates will be given to the delegates during the congress.
  
• The congress will be held at the Auditorium of the World Trade Center. It's very well indicated.

About EASDec

Eye Complications Study Group (EASDec)

EASDec is a study group of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) with special responsibility for the study of the eye complications of diabetes.

Its aim is to promote the advancement of knowledge of all aspects of diabetic retinopathy, including epidemiology, pathology, pathophysiology, investigation and treatment through active collaboration between ophthalmologists and diabetologists.

The ultimate goal of the Group is to prevent the development of diabetic retinopathy and to search for the best treatment of this condition in diabetic patients.
