ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM - PART TWO
YOUR ABSTRACT

IMPORTANT Abstracts must be anonymous and not exceed 350 words. The number of words in your abstract is shown at the bottom of this section near the submit button. [Please note that this count is a simple approximation as each space indicates a word: do not enter multiple spaces between words and do not leave empty spaces at the end of a paragraph or line. If unsure you can use the word count in Microsoft Word or a similar tool.]

Before entering the details of your abstract please check the detail you are about to enter is correct. Once you have clicked the button below you will see a review page showing the details you have entered. At this point you can edit anything you have written by using the back button on your browser and clicking into the appropriate text box. Graphs, figures and pictures are not allowed in the abstracts.

When you press the submit button on the review page your abstract will be sent to the judging panel exactly as you have entered it. After this submission you cannot change the contents of your abstract.

Abstracts will be evaluated by members of the EASDEC board who will be excluded from the evaluation of abstracts from their own department. There is no limit to the number of abstracts any individual may author. Abstracts will be rejected if they do not follow the submission guidelines, contain no data or comprise single case reports. Accepted abstracts of papers and posters will be published in a supplement to European Journal of Ophthalmology. Only abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included.

Participants whose oral presentation is accepted but who fail to attend the meeting and do not give notice of their absence will not be entitled to submit an abstract for two years.
