About EAsDEC

EAsDEC acts as a reference group for EASD in matters related to diabetic eye disease.

EAsDEC is the only forum in Europe solely dedicated to diabetic eye disease. It is aimed at increasing the understanding of diabetic retinopathy, maculopathy and other diabetes related eye complications, their development, diagnosis and treatment. EAsDEC also aims to understand and promote how diabetic eye disease might be viewed as an important marker of systemic complications of diabetes. Annual meetings take place at different locations in Europe with the participation of 150-200 active researchers from fields of study of diabetic eye disease.
